The Challenge

The heart doesn't always give warning.

Cardiovascular diseases are very common and the leading cause of death in Portugal. Hypertension and arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation (AF), are among the most frequent. They are often silent, with no symptoms, and can lead to serious events such as a stroke or a myocardial infarction.

Leading cause of death in Portugal

Cardiovascular diseases account for around 25% of all deaths, approximately 30,000 deaths a year.¹

Hypertension is more common than you think

Around 4 in 10 adults in Portugal have hypertension², and more than a billion people worldwide live with this condition.³

Arrhythmias can be silent and cause strokes

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia; 1 in 3 people do not know they have it, and it accounts for 20 to 30% of all strokes.⁴ ⁵

Prevention and early detection are decisive

Around 80% of cardiovascular events can be avoided with prevention and early care.⁶

The Solution

Doctors, Smartwatches and Artificial Intelligence in one connected ecosystem.

An ecosystem that supports your heart day to day, with continuous monitoring. The appointment is only the start of ongoing, personal care built around you.

01 · MEDICAL TEAM

Your team, dedicated to your case.

A team of cardiologists, other medical specialties or other health professionals - such as nutritionists or personal trainers - who know your history and follow you over time, not just in a single episode.

02 · SMARTWATCHES

Your heart, measured every day.

Connect your smartwatch or other devices, such as a blood pressure monitor, and send ECGs with one click. The data reaches your medical team in real time.

03 · ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Close support, every day.

Our AI follows your data, sends reminders and suggestions on nutrition, exercise, sleep and medication. It also alerts the medical team whenever something needs attention.

Frequently asked questions

It's natural to have questions.

Cardiograma is a cardiovascular care platform. It brings together in one experience your medical team, your devices (such as a smartwatch) and artificial intelligence support, to care for your heart every day - not only in a single appointment.
You can have appointments online, by phone or in person, with our medical team. Choose what is most practical for you, with a frequency suited to your case.
It is not required. You can start without any device, or use yours if you already have one. Newer smartwatches help a great deal: some take ECGs and help detect atrial fibrillation.
You can connect smartwatches such as Apple Watch, Fitbit, Google Pixel, Huawei Watch and others. For hypertension, you can also use a blood pressure monitor and log the readings on the platform. We currently support connections to Health Connect (Android app) and Apple HealthKit (iOS app).
- Book and hold teleconsultations, all in your calendar; - Connect your smartwatch and other devices so your data is always with your team; - Send ECGs and other exams for review; - Log your nutrition and receive suggestions for improvement; - Talk to Beet, our AI assistant, and receive useful day-to-day reminders and alerts.
No. Beet, the AI assistant, supports you day to day with reminders, suggestions and answers to questions, but decisions always rest with your medical team. Whenever something needs attention, Beet escalates to healthcare professionals. Beet is managed, supervised and continually improved by our medical team.
The platform is currently free to register for and use. Appointments and ECG reviews are paid, and the care programme has its own price, adapted to each person's needs.
It does not have to. The platform can be complementary and help organise your care. Your current doctor can also start using the platform to follow your case and other patients. The decision is always yours.
In an emergency, always call 112. Cardiograma is a care and prevention service and does not replace emergency care.

Give your heart the attention it deserves.

Start with an appointment. Before long you will have a plan tailored to your heart and your life.
